Saint Petersburg: Broiler Meat Market to Grow06.08.2008 meatinrussia Leningrad Region enterprises’ share of 152 thousand tons of slaughter poultry produced in Northwestern Federal District for 6 months of the current year amounts to 49.7%. Gross increase of products in the industry totaled to 122.7% to compare with the corresponding period in 2007. The Region main chicken meat producers are Poultry Plants “Lomonosovskaya” and “Severnaya”. However, notwithstanding the significant broiler meat production volumes in Leningrad Region, the experts don’t exclude the possibility of emerging of new plants with the same production output which is caused by poultry market high capacity in the Northwest.
