“Pervomayskaya” May Become One of the Largest Poultry Producers in the Northwest03.09.2008 meatinrussia 800 million rubles are to be invested in Poultry plant “Pervomayskaya” (Pskov Region) in 2008. It will be done within the frameworks of the state program “Development of Agriculture in Pskov Region for 2008-2012”. Credit funds within the frames of reequipping of the plant are spent on construction and installation works, purchase of state-of-the-art equipment and transport. This year, 515 million rubles have been already spent, as the press-service of Pskov Region reports. According to the words of the plant management, the process of reequipping is to be completed by 2009. Currently a small production cycle is put into operation at the plant (poultry slaughtering is effected once a week). Since May of the current year the plant has produced about 740 tons of poultry. The Poultry Plant development is a long-term project. The invested funds are to pay back for 8 years. Credits attracted for purchase of transport facilities will be paid off within 5 years. And in due course, the poultry plant may become one of the largest poultry producers in the Northwest. The project full capacity is to amount to 12 thousand tons of meat (8 million heads) per year.
